Ribbon Cuttings, Grand Openings & Milestone Celebrations
At the Columbus GA Chamber, we love celebrating your business’s success—whether it’s a grand opening, ribbon cutting, or a major anniversary! As a Chamber partner at any level, you have access to these exclusive events, designed to build brand awareness and strengthen your connections within the community.
Who Qualifies?
Ribbon cuttings and milestone celebrations are available to current Chamber partners of any level who meet one of the following criteria:
- Opening a new business (within the first year)
- Purchasing an existing business (within the first year)
- Moving to a new location or completing a major remodel
How We Support Your Event:
The Chamber provides:
✔ The iconic “giant scissors” and Chamber-branded ribbon (if you prefer a different ribbon color, you must provide it)
✔ Promotion of your event through social media and in our weekly email to all Chamber partners
✔ Chamber staff attendance (for events scheduled Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM) to take photos and share on our platforms
Your Role in the Celebration:
- Coordinate with the Chamber to select a date, time, and location
- Invite special guests, such as city officials, financiers, contractors, employees, customers, friends, and media
- Provide refreshments or door prizes for attendees (Optional)
- Prepare a brief agenda and timeline for the event
Plan for Success:
- The earlier you schedule, the more exposure your event will receive
- Keep in touch with your Chamber contact as details come together
- If parking is limited, inform both the Chamber and your attendees in advance
